Bob D. Peterson, CGR, CAPS
Co-owner & Founder of ABD in June 1990 President of ABD
Bob earned a BA and an MA from the University of Northern Colorado, and has over 30 years experience in the construction field. He has attained his Certified General Remodeler (CGR) designation, was the first Colorado contractor to achieve the Certified Aging in Place Specialist certification and has contractor licenses for Fort Collins, Loveland and Larimer County. Bob is very active in the Homebuilders Association at the local, state, and national levels. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Northern Colorado Association of Home Builders, is Chairman of the Political Funding Committee and member of the Legislative Committee of the Colorado Association of Home Builders, and is a National Director and Board of Trustees member of the National Remodelor's ™ Council as well as being one of 12 national members to serve on the National Association of Home Builders CGR Board of Governors.

Rita L. Peterson, ASID, CAPS
Co-owner & Founder of ABD in June 1990 Secretary-Treasurer of ABD
Rita is a graduate of the Interior Design Institute in Denver, Colorado. She has been practicing professional design for over 20 years, working with area residential and commercial design firms before founding ABD. In 1989 Rita attained her professional status in the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), the highest level of achievement in the State of Colorado. In addition, she earned the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) and was the first Colorado designer to achieve the Certified Aging in Place Specialist (CAPS) certification. Rita has been the President of both the Colorado Interior Design Coalition and the Colorado Chapter of ASID, as well as serving on the Board of Directors of both. Rita has also served on the National ASID Ethics Committee, Colorado State University Advisory Council for Design and Merchandising and the Lincoln Center Design Board.

Ryan Beck
Flooring Specialist Joined ABD team 2007
Ryan was introduced to the construction industry in 1995 and has chosen to specialize in floor covering. He is certified with Certified Flooring Installers of America (CFI) for commercial and residential carpet. He also holds certification with the Mannington School of Vinyl. Ryan is proficient and has artistic ability in flooring as well as walls Ryan first and foremost is an outdoor enthusiast. In the summers, he enjoys the rivers and lakes and in the winter, he spends his time skiing and sledding with his wife of 15 years and their two beautiful children.

Terry Bennett
CGR, CAPS Joined ABD team 2007
Terry was an owner of a successful construction company in Ohio for 30 years. A 7-time Cleveland Remodeler of the Year, he and his wife, Mary, became friends with Bob & Rita Peterson through their membership in a national remodeling group, the “Parrotheads”. In 2007 the Bennetts decided to close their Ohio business and move west to Fort Collins. After joining ABD as Salesperson and Lead Estimator, Terry’s first job was to formulate ABD’s proprietary computer estimating and job cost database which now produces quick, detailed and accurate construction estimates. Nationally accredited as a Certified Graduate Remodeler (CGR) and Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS), Terry provides his remodeling, new homes, and commercial clients with the highest level of professional sales services.

Jack Campbell
Lead Carpenter Joined ABD team 2006
Jack has worked in the construction industry for 35 years and is proud to now share his knowledge and experience with ABD clients. He moved to Colorado from his home in Southern California thirty years ago and enjoys sharing his love of hockey and mountain biking with his three children. Jack also races bicycles professionally and looks forward to the busy summer months of competition.

Amy Fink, Allied Member, ASID
Senior Interior Designer Joined ABD team August 1998
Amy has a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design from the University of Wyoming and has been working in interior design for 11 years in Wisconsin, California and now Colorado. She enjoys both residential and commercial design, and became an Allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) in 2001.

Dennis Gehrke, AIBD

Dennis has a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Technology. He was a design/build contractor for 20 plus years and has over 32 years design experience in residential and light commercial construction.

Wendy Jones
Accountant / Human Resources Joined ABD team November 2004
Wendy moved from the mid-west to Arizona after high school to attend Arizona State University. In 2002, Wendy moved to Ft. Collins after 15 years of blistering Arizona heat so she could enjoy four seasons and the many outdoor activities associated with each. Wendy has 14 years experience in the accounting field working for the manufacturing, retail, service, and construction industry, as well as working independently. Wendy has worked as an Accountant for some high-end custom home builders who build homes in Scottsdale, Paradise Valley, and Phoenix.

Andy was born in Arkansas and raised in southern California. He has 13 years experience in the construction field.

William (Bill) A. Kish III
Field Production Manager Joined ABD team September 2006
Bill joins the ABD team with nearly 17 years experience in the homebuilding industry. He is originally from Ohio, but has lived in Colorado for over 27 years. Bill graduated from the University of Northern Colorado, earning a degree in Journalism / Mass Communication. He and his wife have two sons. Bill enjoys golf, hiking, photography and skiing.

Maggie Metzler
Production Coordinator Joined ABD team 2007
Maggie was fortunate enough to grow up in a small farming community in Northeastern Colorado and in the wide-open wilderness of Alaska. She moved to Fort Collins in 2000 and has worked in the Design/Construction industry ever since. Maggie received her Bachelor’s Degree from Colorado State University and is a proud supporter of all Ram Athletics.

Adam Miller
Lead Carpenter Joined ABD team 2006
Raised in Loveland, Adam has worked in this community and in construction all his life. As part of the ABD team, he excels in leadership, efficiency and craftsmanship. Adam and his wife, Tammy, have one daughter and three sons, with whom they love to watch movies and take the occasional road trip.

Sarah Nelson, Student Member, ASID
Interior Designer Joined ABD team June 2005
Sarah grew up in New York City and attended Lehigh University in Pennsylvania, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. After graduating in 2000, she moved to Steamboat Springs, CO for 2 years before deciding to go back to school for another degree, this time in Interior Design. She is currently in her third year of the FIDER accredited Interior Design program at Colorado State University and has been an ASID Student Member since 2002.

Todd Nelson

Todd was born in Arizona and grew up in Michigan. He has been working in all facets of the construction trade industry for 15 years, from maintenance and plumbing to drywall and painting.

Chad Schneider
Carpenter Joined ABD team 2007
Chad began working for ABD in 1996. He previously served in the United States Coast Guard from 1990-1994 and then worked for the National Science Foundation from 1994 to 1996. In 1999, Chad moved to Nebraska and worked in commercial construction for seven years. Chad returned home to ABD in March of 2007. In his off time, Chad enjoys music and sports.

Eric has more than 20 years experience in Residential and Commercial painting. For the past 10 years he has worked for ABD as a painting subcontractor. He joined the ABD team in 2003 as a full time painter.

Donald Suchy

After spending his childhood in Pennsylvania, Don’s travels have taken him from one coast to the other. His experiences range from the glamorous world of casinos to the open prairies of Wyoming cattle ranching. He now lends his expertise to the ABD family and enjoys spending time dabbling in art, reading Native American history, and horsemanship.

Steve Suchy

Steve grew up in Reno, NV where he spent his early life serving six years in the US Air Force. He has lived in Fort Collins the last 12+ years working in various areas of the construction industry, from business ownership and consulting to construction management. He is the proud father of two active boys and soon to be married to fiancée Desiree, local professional portrait photographer. Steve spends the majority of his free time chasing his passion on the golf course.

Tabitha grew up in Iowa and attended the University of Northern Iowa where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design with a minor in business. She moved to Colorado in the Spring of 2006.

Ron White
Field Foreman / Small Project Manager Joined ABD team March 2005
Ron has been a carpenter since 1988. From then until 1993, he was owner/operator of a trim and finish company. During that time, he subcontracted for various builders in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Throughout the next four years, he worked independently, doing remodels and finish work in the Cheyenne and Fort Collins areas. From 1997 to 2005, he owned and operated a Craftsmen for Hire company.
