The Miller home is taking shape! This basement has new “depth” in so many ways. The new, “old” addition has been framed and enclosed and will blend with the original structure. The front porch has been totally stripped away and the new one features a stone foundation that mimics the original. New Pella windows have been installed throughout the home, including egress windows in the basement. Overshadowing the whole project are the efforts to make this a modern, functional home, energy efficient AND green, while preserving its historical integrity. ABD took this home down to the frame, then built it up again with new wiring to accommodate 21st century lifestyles and technology. Insulation adds to the energy savings and new roofing is in place as well. Finishing touches are going to astound you. We’ll keep you posted as this home reaches its final destination.
