Psychology tells us the color green creates a calming and balanced feeling, so it’s no wonder this shade is popping up everywhere in home design. In many recent custom home remodels and interior design projects that we’ve completed at ABD, green has been in! Whether it’s entire walls or simple accents, this trendy color can help deliver a calm yet luxe look to your home.

Green Tile

custom homeOne way to take your home to the next level is to be intentional with your color choices. A simple yet unique way to include green into your home is to add green tile! At ABD, we have used Bedrosians Tile and Stone’s popular tile, Cloe, to incorporate beautiful tile into home remodels. A tip to make the green tile stand out is to position it with a complementary color. One idea would be using a deep, emerald tile for a backsplash in a kitchen and pairing it with dark brown cabinets. The green will add a pop of color while helping to create a sleek and modern look.

Green Wallpaper

Wallpaper is in! You can apply intricate patterns and bold styles to any room in your house with ease. Consider adding green wallpaper as another way to enhance your home with this popular color. By picking a design that uses different shades of green in a cool pattern, you can use the walls as a decorative piece.

Keep the other decorations in the room minimal and choose colors that complement and contrast the walls well. For more information on how to incorporate wallpaper into your custom home, read one of our previous design trend blogs!

Green Cabinets

If you’re thinking of going big with green, you could give your kitchen a makeover. Getting your cabinets refinished a light green color is a great way to spruce up your kitchen while also taking advantage of a trendy color. A pale green shade would pair well with light wooden floors. It’s also a good color to help facilitate the natural lighting in your kitchen, making it look open and welcoming!
